Kentucky Trail Summit will be Jan. 28-30 at Barren River Lake State Park

The sixth annual Kentucky Trail Summit will convene Jan. 28-30 at the Barren River Lake State Park. Thousands of horse enthusiasts from across the Commonwealth are expected to gather to network, discuss and learn about Kentucky’s trails and issues that effect their hobby.
The three-day meeting is sponsored by the Kentucky Horse Council and the Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP).
“Trail riders are by far the largest aspect of the equine industry in the state of Kentucky. There’s been estimated anywhere from 80,000 to 100,000 trail riders who have their horse, whether they use it to show as well, or if it’s just their backyard pet, they like to trail ride,” says KEEP Field Director Cara Stewart.
Sessions will include The Recreational Rider and Resources, Organization and Management. In addition, there will be two sessions dedicated to novice trail riders.
The conference registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Registration is $30 ($25 for Kentucky Horse Council or KEEP members). This includes sessions, receptions and lunch on Saturday.
