Barren River Barbeque Bash fundraiser will be March 5 in Bowling Green

   The Barren River Barbeque Bash fundraiser for the local chapter of the Quality Deer Management Association is scheduled for Saturday, March 5, at the Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at 150 Corvette Drive.
   Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the barbeque dinner to be served at 6 p.m. The auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a silent auction and raffles throughout the evening.
   Auction items include a trophy mule deer hunt in Mexico, a Texas hog hunt, a local turkey hunt, and  a variety of wildlife prints, plus numerous deer and hunting-related items. 
   Tickets are $35 each, $10 for extra meal; Youth (16 and under) $25. Corporate tables (a reserved table for 8 people, plus 4 memberships) are available for $180. Sponsorships are available for $250. 
   Reservations by March 1 are preferred, but walkups will be welcome,

   The Driftwood Restaurant in the Lodge at the Barren River State Park will host the Singles Dining Club on Thursday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m.
   Be one of the first five singles to arrive and get a certificate for a free dinner.
   Take this opportunity to enjoy a good meal and meet other singles.
   Be sure and tell the host or hostess that you are with the SDC and you will be seated with the other singles.
