“Chiks in the Stiks” planned March 18-20 at Barren River Lake State Park

The annual “Chiks in the Stiks” weekend is scheduled for March 18-20 at the Barren River State Park. This weekend event provides a variety of outdoor activities for the ladies.
During the weekend, the women will get the opportunity to participate in hiking, fishing lessons, archery, fire building and other activities. A golf clinic will also be included with Barren River State Park golf course PGA Professional Carmello Benassi.
The weekend package price is $149 per person, which includes a lodge room for two nights (Friday and Saturday), breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and dinner on Saturday night, plus all of the activities. Sharing a room with a girlfriend will only cost $189.00 for both of you.

The level of the Barren River Lake surpassed the Summer Pool Saturday after 2+ inches rain fell on southcentral Kentucky.
The level of the Barren River Lake reached 552.2 feet Saturday and is expected to continued to rise as streams and creeks feed into the lake. The Summer Pool is 552 feet. The Flood Pool is 290 feet. To check daily water level of the Barren River Lake, log on to Barren River Lake water level.
