Corps to offer “sneak peek” of Port Oliver Saturday, March 12, from 1-3 p.m.

You can get a “sneak peek” into the newly-completed Port Oliver Recreation Area this Saturday, March 12, from 1-3 p.m. It is scheduled to “officially” open on April 1.
   The newest “gem” of the lake’s recreation areas is located on Hwy. 252, next to the dam. It offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including a multiple lane launch ramp, amphitheater, courtesy dock, handicap accessible ramp and pier, and bathrooms.

RANGER BOB’S TO CELEBRATE SATURDAY TOO
   Ranger Bob’s will kick off the fishing and tournament season from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, with a variety of activities. It is located at the intersection of Hwys. 252 and 1533, just before you get to the Port Oliver Recreation Area and the dam.
   WLYE (94.1 FM) will broadcast live from Ranger Bob’s. In addition, the store will be offering 20% off bait, tackle and live bait. The Sneed brothers will also be there making tackle.
   Representatives of the Port Oliver Bass Club, the Meador and Cedar Springs Volunteer Fire Departments, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be on hand with activities and to answer questions. And, if you are hungry, Ranger Bob’s will have Hot Bass Wings and BBQ shoulder.
