Mitch Nethery was just going Crappie fishing.
But, this time he caught the “big one” and it “didn’t get away.”
His record-setting catch weighed 2 lbs. 10.6 ozs., and measured 16 3/4 in.
Nethery, 77, of Glasgow, caught the new Barren River Lake record Crappie March 29, using a minnow and an Ultra Light Zebco II.
When asked where he caught his record Crappie, Nethery just smiled and said, “in Barren River Lake.”
