Baileys Point and Walnut Creek campgrounds opening Friday, April 15

   Two more campgrounds around Barren River Lake are scheduled to open Friday, April 15. Baileys Point Campground and the Walnut Creek Campground will open for the season on Friday.
   Baileys Point Campground, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is the largest campground on Barren River Lake with 201 reservable campsites. It has water hookups, electrical hookups, showers, recreation activities, trails and nearby swimming.    The Walnut Creek Campground is privately owned and offers 33 reservable campsites. Some sites have electric hookups, while others are primitive. Restrooms are portables. For more information on the Walnut Creek Campground or to make reservations, log on to Walnut Creek Campground.
     The Barren River Lake State Park Campground opened April 1. The Barren River Lake State Park Campground has 99 reservable sites, and include utility hookups, showers and restrooms. The Narrows, Tailwater Campgrounds Open May 6
   The remaining lake campgrounds, The Narrows Campground and  The Tailwater Campground, are scheduled to open May 6.
