Barren River Lake rising, river falling

   The Barren River Lake continues to rise, as the Barren River at Bowling Green falls.
   The Barren River Lake level hit 570.89 ft. at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 28. The National Weather Service is predicting that the lake will crest at 574 ft. on Sunday, May 1. However, more rain is in the forecast for Sunday and Monday. Flood stage for the Barren River Lake is 590 ft. The lake stood at 569.3 ft. at 7:45 a.m. earlier in the day.
   The Barren River level at Bowling Green crest at 26.67 ft. at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28. The river had fallen to 26.65 ft. by 9:30 p.m.
