Barren River Lake crests at 577.93 ft.

   The Barren River Lake crested at 577.93 ft. at 5 a.m., Saturday, May 7, according to the National Weather Service. As of Sunday, May 8, at 2:15 p.m., the lake level stood at 577.76 ft. Summer pool is 552 ft. Flood stage is 590 ft.
   The Barren River Lake region received between 10-12 inches of rain in the last 30 days, according to the National Weather Service.
   There is not an appreciable amount of rain predicted for the remainder of this week.
