Barren River Lake State Park restaurant seafood buffet menu set for Aug. 11

    The Barren River Lake State Resort Park has announced its menu for its first Seafood Buffet, on Aug. 11, at the Driftwood Restaurant in the park’s Louie B. Nunn Lodge. The Seafood Buffet will be served from 5-9 p.m.
   According to Chef Michael, the menu for the Seafood Buffets (the second Thursday of every month) will remain relatively the same with a few exceptions.
   Many items on the menu will be hard to find any where in south central Kentucky, except at the lodge’s monthly Seafood Buffet.
On the buffet will be:
– Full Salad Bar
– Snow Crab Legs with butter sauce
– Fried Shrimp
– Fried Oysters
– Peel ‘n Eat Shrimp
– Fried Clams
– Baked Cod
– Fried Catfish
– Seafood Bisque
– Complete Dessert Bar
And, for the non-seafood eaters, the buffet will also have:
– Meat entree
– Chicken entree
   Everything above, including drink, will be $22.95, tax and tip not included.
   The only thing missing will be the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the sand.
