Man is dead after truck leaves Siddens Road, submerges in Barren River Lake

UPDATE (7:35 a.m., Thursday): Keith Poindexter, 64, of Burkesville Road, Glasgow, has been identified as the victim of the accident. There were no other passengers in the pickup truck when it ran off Siddens Road into Barren River Lake. An autoposy is scheduled on Poindexter today, according to the Barren County Coroner’s Office.

UPDATE (9:45 p.m, Wednesday):  
WCLU Radio of Glasgow is reporting that the victim is a Barren County native, and the vehicle involved was a 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. However, the name has still not been released

   A man is dead after the truck he was in went off the Siddens Road and into the Barren River Lake late this morning.
   Fishermen saw the truck leave the Siddens Road, enter the Barren River Lake and submerge.
   After being notified, divers found the truck with the body inside. They recovered the body about 1 p.m. There were no passengers found in the truck.
   The victim’s name has not been released.
