Barren River Lake State Park will host annual Geocaching Weekend Oct. 22-23

The Barren River Lake State Park will host its 5th annual Geocaching Weekend, Oct. 22-23, around the park. Events will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and continue through Sunday.
Geocaching uses the global positioning system (GPS) to locate the cache or hiding places of items. GPS uses satellites to determine participants’ locations and the location of the hidden caches.
Caches will be hidden for all levels of participants.
There will be a variety of events, from a beginners’ session, Caching for Clues and a chili supper Saturday after a spooky night cache hunt, and the Amazing Cache Race on Sunday.
Registration is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under.
