Barren River Lake State Park campground closing Monday; Tailwater remains open

   This is it!
This is the last weekend to camp on Barren River Lake (this year).
The Barren River Lake State Park campground will close for the winter Monday, Oct. 31. But, it is not too late to enjoy the fall weather and leaves this weekend, before it does.
For more information or to make reservations, log on to Barren River Lake State Park Campground.
The Tailwater Campground remains open and is free to campers; however, there is no water or electrical service. In addition, the shower houses have also closed and only pit toilets are available for use. There is not a park attendant on duty.
Hunters who may use the Tailwater Campground during the season are reminded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that all weapons must be unloaded in the campground.
The Bailey’s Point, Narrows and Beaver Creek campgrounds have closed for the year.
