Thanksgiving is coming . . . be thankful for buffet at Barren River Lake State Park

   Thanksgiving is coming . . . gooble, gooble, gobble, gobble . . . .
   And, the Barren River Lake State Park is giving you an additional something to be thankful for.
   The Thanksgiving Day buffet will be served from noon to 8 p.m. at the Barren River Lake State Park’s Driftwood Restaurant in the Louie B. Nunn Lodge.
   All of the state’s 17 resort parks’ restaurants will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet.
   The annual buffet will include soups, cheeses and salads. Entrees will include turkey and dressing, baked ham, carved roast beef and fried chicken. Vegetables served will be old fashioned candied yams, country-style green beansand mashed potatoes with giblet gravy. The variety of desserts will include pecan pie and pumpkin pie.
   The buffet will be $17.95 plus tax (drink included) for adults; $7.95 for children, ages 6-12; and children, 5 and under, are free.
