Nashville Boat and Sportshow scheduled Jan. 12-15 at Nashville Convention Center

   The 26th annual Progressive Insurance Nashville Boat & Sportshow, Tennessee’s premier boat show, cruises into the Nashville Convention Center, Jan. 12 – 15, in downtown Nashville.
  The show will be open: Thursday, Jan. 12, from 2 – 10 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 13, from noon – 10 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
      The four-day event offers hundreds of the latest boats from the region’s top dealers, plus a wide selection of marine accessories and travel destinations for sale, daily boating and fishing courses, and free activities the whole family can enjoy.
   Free seminars for attendees include:
* Randy Howell – Bassmaster Elite Series Angler.
* Mark Menendez – Bassmaster Elite Series Angler. 
* Jay Yelas – 2007 FLW Angler of the Year.
* Joey Monteleone – Host of the weekly radio show Inside the Outdoors and Reel Tips, as well as “answer man” for Tennessee’s Wild Side television program.
* Jeff Scarbro – The owner of Scarbro Marine Service & Repair will educate boat owners on preventive maintenance and repair through step by step instructions and demonstrations.
   Additional displays include “Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel,” a 5,000-gallon aquarium stocked with gamefish for bait striking and casting demonstrations, and a Pro Shop with water recreation items, along with children’s casting and minnow races.

   Daily tickets are $9 for adults (16 years and older); FREE for children (15 years and under). Active military admission is FREE with valid ID.
