Friends of Barren River Lake & Park set meeting at Barren River Lake State Park

   The Friends of Barren River Lake and Park will have an informational meeting Friday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m., in the Stonehaven room of the Barren River Lake State Park Lodge.
   The meeting is open to everyone who loves the lake and/or park.
   The agenda will include review of mission, explanation of roles the different agencies play, and most importantly how your love of the lake can be used to help the lake and park.
   Barren River Lake State Park will be serving a dinner buffet from 5-6:30 p.m.
   During the meeting, door prizes will be given away and light refreshments will be served. Some door prize giveaways include free meals, camping and an overnight stay at the lodge.
   The Friends of Barren River Lake and Park is a not-for-profit partner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Barren River Lake State Resort Park, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, county and local governments, local tourism commissions, as well as local businesses and private individuals in the
management of 20,000 acres of public land which offers extensive opportunities for camping, fishing, boating, swimming, hunting, wildlife viewing, hiking and biking.
   Anyone interested in learning more about The Friends of Barren River Lake and Park, or becoming a member, is invited to attend.
