The Friends of Barren River Lake & Park will meet Thursday, May 31, at 6:30 p.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church of Bowling Green, located at 1215 State Street, next to the Bowling Green Public Library downtown.
Please come and discover how you can help this non-profit group promote environmental stewardship through efforts to restore, preserve and protect the local natural and cultural resources in and around Barren River Lake.
You will have the opportunity to learn about the organization, meet the Officers and Board of Directors in person, find out about the benefits of membership, and have an opportunity to become a member and sign up for the committee of your choice.
Refreshments will be served, and you could even go home with a door prize.
Each year, the Friends of Barren River Lake & Park sponsors the Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration, two Poker Runs, and the Trashmaster’s Classic shoreline cleanup. In addition, the Friends group provides water safety education, supports local conservation efforts, and we can do much more with your help!
Friends of Barren River Lake & Park’s mission is “Communication, Education & Conservation.” Through partnerships that include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources, and Kentucky State Parks; volunteers from all over the area work to keep Barren River Lake the best it can be – and you can help, too.
Please plan to attend this important meeting.
