UPDATE: Drowning in Barren River Lake

UPDATE (12:21 p.m., Thursday): 
   The Barren County Sheriff’s Department has identified the drowning victim as Terraz Brown Lester, 20, of Glasgow.
   Reports say that he was swimming with friends at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, when he went under and failed to resurface. Friends called 911 for assistance.
   Dive teams recovered his body about 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, near the Siddens Bridge on Siddens Road.
   An autopsy is set for Friday in Louisville.
   The death is still under investigation by the Barren County Sheriff’s Department and the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
     Units of the Haywood Volunteer Fire Department, the Barren County Emergency Dive Team, the Barren County Sheriff’s Department, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Barren Volunteer Fire Department, Austin Tracy Volunteer Fire Department, the Barren County Coroner’s Office, and the Barren-Metcalfe Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

    A 20-year-old male from Glasgow has drown in Barren River Lake.
   According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department, the body of the victim was pulled from the Barren River Lake, near the Siddens Bridge on Siddens Road, about 9 p.m. last night (Wednesday).
   He had been reportedly swimming with friends.
   The person has not been identified.
   Officials are expected to release the name of the victim around noon today (Thursday).
