Barren River Lake State Park hosts Trail of Scarecrows through Halloween

Barren River Lake State Park is hosting its annual Trail of Scarecrows through Halloween. The Scarecrows, sponsored by area organizations, businesses and park departments, are located along the park’s paved bike and hike trail.
The trail is 2.5 miles, across from the park’s Louie B. Nunn Lodge and around the golf course. In addition to the scarecrows, walkers and/or bikers will also be able to view a sample of the beautiful fall color in the park.
After viewing the scarecrows, visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite in the lodge’s Driftwood Restaurant. Winners will be announced and be awarded prizes.
