Barren River Lake State Park offers tours of Santa’s house on Dec. 6 and 8

Barren River Lake State Park will offer tours of Santa’s House on Dec. 6 and 8.
Visitors to the park will be able to visit the replica of Santa’s House (because everyone knows that Santa’s real house is at the North Pole) at the park on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10: 30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
   Admission is FREE!
This is a chance for young and old alike to see what Santa’s house looks like, without traveling to the North Pole.
During the tour, visitors will also be able to hand deliver their Christmas list directly to Santa himself.
Visitors are invited to bring their cameras for photos with the Jolly Old Elf.
After Santa’s return to the North Pole, the villa will be available for rental over the holidays for family getaways. To reserve Santa’s House, call the park at 270-646-2151 or toll-free at 1-800-325-0057
For more information contact Jamie Avery at or call the park.

Barren River Lake State Park will also host “Breakfast with the Grinch” on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 9 a.m. in the Driftwood Restaurant of the Louie B. Nunn Lodge.
The Who from Who-Ville will have traditional green eggs and ham (of course) with the Grinch, but don’t worry, this Grinch won’t try to ruin your Christmas.
The Grinch will also share his favorite story, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for all to enjoy.
After breakfast, all the Who from Who-Ville will create a holiday craft to remember their special breakfast and morning with the Grinch.
   Registration is $7 per person.
For more information, call Jamie Avery at the state park at 270-646-2151 or toll free at 1-800-325-0057.
