The Grinch visited Barren River Lake State Park for breakfast Saturday

The Grinch visited Barren River Lake State Park Saturday for a breakfast of Green Eggs and Ham and to greet over 225 children and adults at the park’s annual Christmas event.

Ashlyn Meador and Jax Coffey, both of Scottsville, posed for a photo with The Grinch during his visit to Barren River Lake State Park Saturday.

Following breakfast, The Grinch posed for photos with children and adults and then they were all treated to a reading of The Grinch.
The children also created crafts to take home and remember the day.
This year’s Breakfast with The Grinch was the park’s largest to date, according to Jamie Avery, Director of Recreation for the park.
In addition to The Grinch, the park also hosted “Santa’s House,” where children could visit the “Jolly Old Elf” and deliver their Christmas list personally.
