July 4 fireworks seek funding help

While it may seem far away, July 4 will be here before you know it.
And, with it, comes the annual fireworks show at Barren River Lake State Park.
The Friends of Barren River Lake & Park, a non-profit organization, has begun seeking funds to continue the annual fireworks show over the lake.
The annual July 4 celebration at the state park includes an assortment of activities throughout the day, and concludes with the fireworks over the lake just after dark.

Since the state stopped funding the fireworks four years ago, the Friends of Barren River Lake & Park has been the lead organization in securing funding for the fireworks.
And, each year, thanks to donations by individuals, families and businesses the fireworks show continues to the delight of thousands, who flock to the park.
All donations to support and continue the annual July 4 fireworks are tax deductible, and contribution receipts will be provided.
