Kayak and Canoe S.M.A.C.K. Fishing Tourney on Barren River Lake April 21

Are you ready to try something new?
Try catching prize-winning bass without a motor.
Catch your tournament bass from either a kayak or canoe.
The S.M.A.C.K. Fishing Tournament Series will be making its first stop on Barren River Lake on Sunday, April 21, at Browns Ford ramp.
Registration will begin at 5 a.m. CT at Browns Ford, with the tournament running from 6 a.m. (or safe light) – 1 p.m. CT.
The tournament will benefit Heroes on the Water, a non-profit agency that allows injured and disabled military, law enforcement and community service members the experience of fishing.
The Sunday Morning Anglers of Central Kentucky (S.M.A.C.K. for short) fishing tournament is a bass tournament; however, it is a tournament with fishing from only kayaks or canoes.
Entry fee is $10, plus a $15 year membership in the American Canoe Association.
With 100 percent of the entry fees going to benefit Heroes on the Water, prizes will be donated prizes from a variety of donors.
It is an individual tournament, no teams; however, more than one person may fish from a kayak or canoe.
The S.M.A.C.K. Fishing Tournament Series uses a Catch, Photo, Release system to determine its winners.
Fishermen take either a digital or phone (if USB cord is available for download) photograph of the fish on a Hawg Trough.
The first photo must be of the rigged boat at Browns Ford ramp. All photos must be clear and have full fish in the picture. Mouth must be closed. All bass will be measured from tip of tail. Measurements will be taken in 1/4 inch increments.
All cameras will be checked before tournament.
Measurements of length of the top 3 bass of each participant will be used to determine the winners.
Fishermen can use no live bait. All fish must be caught from boat.
To qualify for the S.M.A.C.K. Fishing Tournament Classic, fishermen must participate in four of the series’ seven tournaments.
