Beaches at Barren River Lake open

   Just in time for the July 4 holiday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has opened all of its beaches (Quarry Road, Beaver Creek, Narrows Campground, Baileys Point Campground).
   In addition, the Corps has trucked in new sand to make the beaches even better.
   The Narrows Campground and Baileys Point Campground beaches are limited to campers at those respective sites.
   The Quarry Road Beach is open to the public. Admission is $1 per person or $4 per vehicle. The Quarry Road Island is also open.
   The Beaver Creek Beach is open to the public at no charge.

Barren River Lake State Park Beach

   The Barren River Lake State Park Beach will not open this year.
