Barren River Lake State Park will host Geocaching Weekend, Oct. 26-27

Barren River Lake State Park will host a Geocaching Weekend, Oct. 26-27.
“Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location,” according to Geocaching.com.
The weekend event will provide a variety of “hunts.”
There will be geocaching activities for all levels and types of participants.
Events include sessions for beginners, The Amazing Cache Race and Caching for Clues plus a chili dinner after the park’s Spooky Nigh Cache Hunt.
Registration for the weekend is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
In addition to the geocaching adventures, there will also be a free astronomy program, River of Stars, on Saturday night.
