Barren River Lake filling up!

Barren River Lake has begun filling toward Summer Pool.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has begun holding water and filling Barren River Lake toward its Summer Pool of 552 ft. The dam’s bypass gate is only open 3.5 tenths, emitting 58 cubic feet (433 gallons) of water per second.
The lake never achieved its Winter Pool of 525 ft., but is on target for filling. The lake rose 3 inches in the past 24 hours.
Today, March 25, the lake stands at 534.94 feet, which is almost 10 ft. above Winter Pool and 17 ft. below Summer Pool.
