Barren River Lake Fishing Report

By Josh Morris

Josh Morris caught this bass Thursday night

Hello fellow Barren River Lake enthusiasts.
Let me first of all thank you for reading.
Secondly I want to give a shout out to Brian Dillon who I took on his first tournament Thursday night. We had a blast,
I encourage anyone who likes to fish to go try one of the weekly evening tournaments out of Port Oliver.  They are open and fun for all. You can check Barren Outdoors in Glasgow for launch times.
Brian caught our first fish all most immediately. It was such a Blessing to be out there in God’s beauty and have the opportunity to introduce someone to the competitive side of the sport.  He is ready for his next one!
Bass are mostly finished with the spawn. They have produced well on shaky heads with Snack Daddy ditch chicken or similar crawfish soft plastic. Also jigs are producing good fish and a few are coming on crank baits. Look on steep rocky banks.
Crappie have moved back to 15 foot deep on brush on flats and the hybrids are slow mainly being caught in the area near the dam 18 to 20 foot deep but there still is a night bite on top water for hybrids on the walls.
Bluegill are in the middle of their spawn, the catfish are coming in as well to spawn.

In closing I want to thank for posting my information.  I also want to thank my sponsors for all of their support.  Please support them all!
Thank you and God Bless.
