Corps closes Beaver Creek for season

Beaver Creek Campground and Beach is closing for the season.
Today, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that the Beaver Creek Campground and Beach will close Sunday, July 16, and will remain closed for the remainder of the season. The Corps did not give any reason for the closing in the announcement that appeared in a post on the Corps’ Facebook page this afternoon.
Beaver Creek Campground features 12 tent camping sites bordering Barren River Lake. Campers also have access to a beach, as well as a boat ramp. Traditionally, Beaver Creek Campground has remained open through mid-September.
In the same Facebook post, the Corps announced that the Quarry Road Recreation Area will be open daily for the rest of the season. Admission to Quarry Road Beach is $2 per person or $5 per carload.
